Relay

The Bay Limestone Round Relay is a great challenge for a club or group of friends. Easy to organise and finishing in the beautiful sea side village of Arnside.

As with the individual round it is very important to stick to the specified route for safety and environment reasons - see our FAQ and Code of Conduct

The legs are as follows:

Leg 1 - Kents Bank to High Newton Reservoir -  9.5 miles - 1,300 feet of ascent
Summits: Humphrey Head, Hampsfell 

Leg 2 - High Newton Reservoir to Scout Scar Car Park - 13.7 miles (total 23.2) - 1900 feet of ascent
Summits: Lords Seat, Cunswick Scar 

Leg 3 - Scout Scar Car Park to Farleton - 12.9 miles  (total 36 miles) - 1200 feet of ascent
Summits: Scout Scar, Heversham Head 

Leg 4 - Farleton to Cinderbarrow 7.8 miles  (total 43.8 miles) - 1200 feet of ascent
Summits: Farleton Knot, Hutton Roof Crags 

Leg 5 - Cinderbarrow to Arnside 11.2 miles (total 55 miles) - 1400 feet of ascent
Summits: Cringlebarrow, Warton Crag, Heald Brow, King William's Hill, Arnside Knott

Logistics - its easy to send the first person to start by Train to Kents Bank from Arnside. The legs changeovers after that are in easy to find locations. 

Eco Round - if you complete the round using just train and bike as support from start/finish in Arnside you get to quailfy for the Eco Round category as well! There are vairous wasy of doing this - we will leave you to do the planning!
